There is a grief nobody names, the quiet loss of the life you assumed you would have.
It is not always tragic. Sometimes it is simply different. The career that went sideways, the timeline that did not hold, the relationship that did not happen. You do not talk about it because from the outside things look fine, and mostly they are.
Romans 8:28 is frequently deployed too early and too cheerfully, as if it means everything that happened was secretly good. It does not say that. It says God works things together for good, which implies raw material that is not good, being worked, over time.
That is a slower and more honest promise. It leaves room for the loss to be real.
You are allowed to grieve the life you planned and still trust the One arranging the one you got.
