In Due Time

Galatians 6:9

Let us not grow weary in well doing. Paul is not warning about failure here. He is warning about tiredness, which takes people out far more often.

Weariness is what happens when you keep doing the right thing and nothing visibly responds. There is no dramatic collapse. You just gradually stop, and it feels reasonable at the time.

The promise attached is real but the timing is not yours. In due time. Not soon, not on a schedule you would recognize as fair, but genuinely.

Then the condition: if we do not give up. That is the only variable Paul leaves in your hands. Not the size of the harvest, not when it comes, only whether you are still there.

If you have been doing something good and unrewarded for a long stretch, that is not evidence the sowing failed. It is what the gap between sowing and reaping actually feels like from inside.
