Father, I have prayed this same prayer for longer than I expected to. Some days I wonder whether I am praying into an empty room. Keep me asking anyway. Let the waiting do whatever it is meant to do in me rather than only wearing me down. And if the answer is different from what I have been asking for, give me the grace to recognize it. Amen.
