Lord, guard what I say today. Keep me from the small convenient edits I make to protect myself. Where truth needs saying, give me the nerve to say it plainly and the love to say it gently. Where silence is wiser, close my mouth before I improve on it. Let the people around me find me easier to trust tonight than they did this morning. Amen.
