Affirmation and Agreement
Amen is a Hebrew word that means “so be it” or “it is true.”
It is often used in the Bible to end prayers and blessings, as a way of saying that we believe what we have prayed for and that we are grateful for God’s blessings.
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:20) In Jesus, we have the full assurance that every promise, every truth spoken
(2 Corinthians 1:20)
When we say amen, we are not only affirming what has been said, but we are also expressing our faith, hope, and love for God. Amen is a powerful word that can help us to connect with God and to grow in our relationship with Him.
